• School-aged girls in rural communities lacking access to quality education.
Who is MBIDEA?
MBIDEA is a dedicated Tanzanian organization committed to poverty alleviation, environmental conservation, and the empowerment of marginalized communities. Since 1998, we have implemented impactful programs focused on education, health, climate resilience, and economic empowerment.
Our mission is to create sustainable change, with a strong focus on gender justice, recognizing that true development cannot be achieved without uplifting women and girls.

While our reach extends across various regions, we remain deeply rooted in local communities, ensuring that our work is driven by the needs and aspirations of the people we serve.

Gender equity and social inclusion are at the heart of MBIDEA’s interventions. We empower women and girls by improving access to education, healthcare, entrepreneurship training, and leadership development. Special attention is given to elderly women, ensuring they are included in community initiatives and economic opportunities.

MBIDEA is committed to supporting people with disabilities, orphans, children from impoverished backgrounds, and those affected by HIV/AIDS. Our programs focus on social protection, access to healthcare, inclusive education, and income-generating activities to improve their quality of life and overall well-being.

We work closely with village communities and grassroots development groups to implement sustainable projects that address environmental conservation, food security, economic development, and climate resilience. By engaging communities, we ensure local ownership and long-term impact.

MBIDEA collaborates with local leaders, including village elders, religious figures, and government officials, to promote awareness, policy advocacy, and the implementation of community-driven development initiatives. These leaders play a critical role in mobilizing community participation and ensuring the sustainability of interventions.
